Tip of the day (time trialing)

You have got the bike bug and now you would like to start racing. The easiest way and the way most people start off is time trailing. Distances vary from 10 miles to 24 hours. There are races all over the country, you can find the information on the RTTC website.
The great thing about time trialing is that you race against yourself. You can use any type of sports bikes. You don't need expensive equipment. You can pick up a pair of inexpensive tri bars that just bolt onto your orginal bars to give you a more aerodynamicposition and off you go.
A lot of clubs have there on club 10 midweek where you just turn up and pay a small entry few usually just a few quid. Check with your local bike shop.
