Tip of the day (weekends)
Bored with your local roads. If you've got a spare weekend why don't you organise a Youth Hostel weekend. Youth Hostels are great places. They're not expensive, they cater for cyclists, they have storage for your bike, a drying room for your clothes, all have internet, there's always plenty of great food and you get to meet other interesting people. Choose a distance you want to ride they check out there website for suitable hostels.
When your planning the ride aim to do a larger distance in the morning before you stop for lunch, it makes the afternoons easier. So if you planned to do an 80 mile ride, you would do 50 miles in the morning, have a cafe stop then there's just 30 to do in the afternoon. Same on the way back.
